While being in Rwanda for our first visit it has come to BTR’s attention that so many more people have been involved in this project than we were aware of. Without the help of the countless volunteers, and the general efforts of so many people, we would not be where we are today in pushing to achieve the mission we have set out to do.
Among those people we would very much like to thank Project Rwanda, SPREAD & US AID, all the folks from Scallywags Bike Shop, and Douglas Mutabazi & Jay Ritchey for their work on the ground over the last year.
We look forward to the future partnerships with all the individuals that find this project close to their hearts. With open communication and partnership hopefully we can all achieve our goals.
The bike that we have chosen to use for this project is a specially designed cargo bike designed specifically for heavy cargo. This bike was designed and developed by Project Rwanda with the help and expertise of Tom Ritchey and Ritchey Logic. Their expertise in the bike world have provided to be the missing link in fulfilling the mission we have set out to accomplish. We look forward to working with this group in the future to further evolve the bike needed in these communities to help in promoting economic development and a better way of life.
